"Swerve" was originally shot in Feb. 1997 when I was attending college. My producing partner, Shawn Kelly and I showed a rough cut to the student film festival. It went over alright but it lacked heart. When I got a gig as an Avid editor I was able to re-work it in 1999, and got it to where it needed to be. Its a story about these two people on the complete opposite sides of the coin, but need each other in some way. Love is a dangerous thing. I wanted to take that aspect of betrayal and broken hearts to the extreme. I wanted to keep the ending very loose, to let the viewer fill in the blanks.

Upon his father's death, Archer Lewis returns home to take care of family business. He has inherited two things: the house, which he plans to sell, and a map to an unused lot in an never-developed suburb his father bought years ago. Probably just a cruel joke, someone has scribbled a set of coordinates and the word "DIG" on the back of it. What, if anything, is buried out there? And why does Henry, the family's retainer and maintenence man, refuse to leave now that he's no longer needed?

This film was produced as a final project at the New York Film Academy's six week program at Princeton University (16mm + b/w). My previous description sums up my film's main focus fairly well. Any further information may keep my audience from contemplating the underlying meaning of my film themselves and perhaps keep them from developing their own unique perceptions of its deeper significance.

12 Disciples started out as a comic book idea. But I soon realized I didn't have the time or the skill to work on it. I soon became interested in film. The idea of creating a story visually was appealing. And it was also a way I could control the mood and script. So I began working on a short summary of what my idea was. 12 DISCIPLES is a story about a normal man who is looking for change in the world. He'll accomplish his mission any way possible. What he needs is 12 followers to do his bidding. With the help of 12 he can crack the system. The followers he's chosen are the wicked, murderers,
