filmed using a digital camera (with video function) and a webcam. for the lo-fi look i kept exporting to and from movie maker and after effects and this degraded the quality each time - which was good. the webcam was not 'dirty' enough so aftereffects was used to add some 'crunch'. the music is such an integral part of it - the visuals are much more emotive with the tracks - goldfrapp and air are great artists. post-production by after effects. editing on movie maker

This movie was shot for a religion class in 2004. Using theory from the class, I set out to contrast the sacred and profane, entirely Under One Roof (all in the same building,) in Christ Church Cathedral. I had always found it interesting how different the everyday behind-the-scenes hustle and bustle of the Cathedral was when compared to the serenity of the empty church itself. Pretty much a video essay, it has some interesting cinematography, and the effect, I think, it worth seeing.
